Our Story

From a single garage in 1984 to six facilities across two states — Polar Tech Industries has been at the forefront of temperature-controlled packaging for over four decades.

How it started

The Founder of Polar Tech launched the business after years of seeing products in the market that were unable to meet customer required standards and quality. He felt it was his obligation to provide the best product with the highest standards — so he began manufacturing cold packs from the garage of his home.

Our Founder then teamed up with Federal Express Packaging, Engineering, and Testing department engineers to test and develop guidelines on packaging perishable products. Since then Polar Tech has continued to engineer new packaging products and means of protecting temperature sensitive shipments.

What we do today

Polar Tech manufactures and distributes quality insulated containers and cold pack systems used to transport goods at controlled temperatures while preserving products from thermal and physical shocks. Our team of engineers, sales professionals, and technical experts has decades of temperature-sensitive packaging experience to deliver creative solutions.

With the largest selection of insulated containers and cold packs in the industry, our packaging is available as in-stock systems or custom-designed for your most challenging requirements.

Where we are

Polar Tech’s reach is primarily national, with over 465,000 square feet of manufacturing and storage space across six buildings in two states. Polar Tech products are also found in countries worldwide — exported internationally by our customers and their freight carriers.
