- Measure (L × W × H) and weigh your product.
- Calculate minimum refrigerant weight:
- Overnight: product weight × 1/2 (e.g., 5 lb product → 2.5 lb refrigerant).
- 2+ day: product weight × 2 (e.g., 5 lb product → 10 lb refrigerant).
For longer transits, test and adjust.
- Choose refrigerant for the target temperature:
- Frozen: dry ice (Absolute Zero®).
- Chilled: gel packs (Ice-Brix® or Re-Freez-R-Brix™).
- Choose an insulated container for days in transit and payload size. Leave room for refrigerant. Typical ranges:
- 1–2 Day: Overnight Series
- 2–3 Day: Polar Express Series
- 2–5 Day: Thermo Chill™ Series
- 5+ Day: Global Extreme™ Series
- Pack out and test. Always validate for your specific product and route.
